Charity WAREHOUSE silver lining

Friday, March 22nd, 2013

So once again I nearly didn’t go out on a Friday stroll and again I’m so glad I did. Just a little stretch of the legs and I find myself at the All Saints cash desk. Ok it’s a pricey stroll but as I was paying I found out the store at Bicester Village is going to be closing on April 1st, or is that some kind of joke? What a shame that one of the few remaining affordable shops there will be no more :(
Walking back to the office I discovered that something new is opening though… The Sobbell House charity warehouse has a grand opening this Thursday at 11am, Station Approach, Bicester. So every cloud does have a silver and cheaper lining.Hooray!

This Saturday myself and a couple of chums are popping up a vintage cafe market shop thingy. There will be boys and girls vintage, Stussys rare Trainer Grotto, Cut n burns BRAND NEW t-shirts and hoodies, Barbies design jewellery, vinyl parlour, cakes from Branca and delicious coffee and Shakes served by our delightful hosts with the most… Souths. Come down for a poke around.

Something for everyone

Popped into the Oxford Antiques market this morning. General D bought some fetching army badge pins and I found some brilliant old ‘Today – picturing the world’ photo magazines from the early 1950′s. At 50p each and in immaculate condition, how could I resist. The bright colours and varied contents give a feel for the era. There’s a pin-ups section in some issues if you get lucky. The advert designs are amazing too. Maybe we should take a leaf out of their old school books.
