Bollywood bonkers

Friday, July 25th, 2008

I’d dreamed of owning a dansette record player ever since I was first introduced to one, on a warm Summers evening at James and Amys house, some 8 years ago. We sat in the dining room – eating, drinking, discussing our new business venture, and listening to some top 80s tunes. Bliss. This year for my Birthday I finally got my own Dansette. So now I’m on the hunt for some exciting records to play on it. The first of which is this 70s Bollywood record. We’ve never listened to Bollywood music before, but since the record arrived at Bigtop on Monday, we’ve listened to it at least 5 times. And look at the cool cover! We wish we could be there with them.

Bye for now …

It’s that time of year again when the kids break up from school and I break up from bigtop (just for a little while). Days filled with painting pictures at the kitchen table, making models out of fairy liquid bottles and picnics in the park… that’s just me, they’re getting a bit big for all that. Anyway, work hard my lovely colleagues and save me some chocolate for September, I’ll miss you all.

bigtop design wankers

I’m not afraid to admit that I like statistics. Pie charts. Bar graphs. That sort of thing. So you can imagine my excitement when I found out that I could explore the Bigtop website statistics. Visitor numbers, amount of page views. That sort of thing. There’s not much activity but I like to look all the same. And there’s a column that shows what people typed into Google before visiting our website. And half way down the column I noticed that someone had typed into Google, “bigtop design wankers”.

We’re offering a large bag of Maltesers to the person who owns up to calling us wankers. Meet us in the alleyway behind Somerfields at 11.30pm next Tuesday to claim your prize. Come alone.
