What a miserable, grey old day.

It’s ‘special day’ at bigtop and I am sitting at my desk eating Pret crisps and drinking Innocent smoothie, yum. First Aid Kit is playing and warming the cockles, turning it’s back on the grey, wet and depressing weather out there. Pop this Swedish duo on Spotify and look out of the window (lucky beasts, we don’t actually have any windows here. Our accountant says they are only a distraction) and be happy to be inside. I am alone in the office … James has gone home to grab some lunch, Daniel is poorly and Lauren has been in, but is now working from home.

While I have it to myself I am listening to Depeche Mode on Spotify.

Just me, my crochet blanket (it’s cold in here) and a bit of Dave Gahan … I may dance over to the kitchen now and steal some crisps.

James and me had the end of last week off and took a lovely walk in the snow. Snug in our layers of thermals, with a flask of cocoa and a bar or two of Green and Blacks, perfect.

I can still remember the day a shiny new G4 arrived into the bigtop office, with its state-of-the art transparent plastic body work. A leap up from those old beige boxes. Surprisingly he is still with us today, but only used for storing files – still quite impressive for a 10 year old computer. At least he’s still handy and more loved than this one, spotted outside someones house at the weekend. Maybe he would make a nice bedside table.
